BAS MEMBER EVENTS IN 2025

BAS Meeting February 13th at 7.30pm – The February meeting is a presentation on Operation Varsity, the mission to support the crossing of the Rhine in March 1945 when 1500 aircraft and gliders delivered 15,000 Allied troops in the largest airborne operation ever. The connection to the museum is that two squadrons of Halifax tugs flew from RAF Woodbridge. One of those involved in the mission is still with us at the age of 102 living in Ipswich and we’ll include his experiences in the talk.

BAS Meeting – March 13th at 7.30pm – Mike Keitch ex RAF engineer involved in the building of the hardened aircraft shelters.

BAS Meeting – April 10th at 7.30pm – Don Mobley, a pilot from Lakenheath I’ve not got details on what Don will talk about but it’s sure to be of interest.
